You Might Be From Millington If:

Oh, how true this joke rings to my hometown. Lots of you won't get these jokes, but that is what makes it all the more hillarious! Enjoy.

You might be from Millington if:

1. You can name everyone you graduated with.

2. You get a whiff of manure and think of home.

3. You know what 4-H is, the FFA, and the FHA....Oh, and who the presidents are!

4. You have ever gone to a party at a gravel pit/pasture/barn/or middle of a dirt road

5. One of your friends has ever driven a tractor to school.....on a regular basis.

6. You swore and your parents knew within the hour

7. You schedule parties around the schedule of different police officers, since you know which ones will bust you and which ones won't

8. Your nephew once won the Jr. Tractor Pull

9. You can charge at the "IGA"

10. It is normal to see an old man riding through town on a riding lawn mower (and being that there are 3 cars behind him, this is what you consider a "traffic jam")

11. School gets cancelled for opening day of hunting season

12. You have 5 "favorite" recipes for venison

13. You could never buy cigarettes because all the store clerks knew how old you were (and, if you were old enough, they'd tell your parents, anyhow)

14. You know of at least two prom queens who were pregnant at the prom

15. Football coaches suggest that you haul hay for the summer to get stronger

16. You were ever the star of the Homecoming parade

17. Your first job consisted of hoeing beans or castrating pigs

18. You fix up to go buy milk lest anyone starts the rumor that you have gained weight or let yourself go

19. No place sells gas on Sunday

20. You refer to anyone with a house newer than 1980 as the "rich people".

21. You have to drive an hour to buy a pair of socks

22. Your family has held the title of Frog Jumping Champs for over 5 years.

23. You have ever gone for a walk in the cemetery or TPing while on a date

24. You ordered "cool clothes" out of a catalog

25. You had senior skip day

26. You know what "cow tipping" and "snipe hunting" is (and have done both)

27. You actually see men at the bar wearing camo bib overalls

28. You don't give directions by street names or house numbers, but you give directions by references (Turn left by the gas station and go by Mr. Hanson's house....)

29. You are proud of this tiny little town you call your hometown!

A lot of those examples fit Millington. Particularly the tractor stuff. Nice post.

Loved this Skoie! It made me miss everyone and everything even more. :(

Is there a family, besides the Cassidy's, who has legitimately held the Frog Jumping for more than 5 years?

Classic post.
